Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre TV, and voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in late 1950s. Later, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). She also appeared in numerous television shows, usually as a guest actor, and played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish, the children of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage director at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
