Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actress singer and former model. She is best known as the main character in the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead singer in the girl-group Apollonia 6 Apollonia was a performer/singer who was christened by Prince in 1984 was one of the female artists of the 1980s who benefitted from Prince. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress born in Santa Monica in 1959. Her early career included working as a television model. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first performance that she played in the year the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name at this point. She was replaced by Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 for her role in the film with Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. Suzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre TV, and voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in late 1950s.
