Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Elliott Taylor, an American stage and screen actress and producer. Her best-known role is as a film actress due to her roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is a film and theater actress, and she is also a producer. Her career began acting in the theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received an acclaim from critics, but also won numerous nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. The actress made her professional debut when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She's appeared on Broadway on stage in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is recognized for movies like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
